Roller Racing at the Brooklyn Brewery
Taliah and I love seeing those dials go round, especially when people
go crazy over the marvelous performances of these cyclists.
Thanks to JP of Kissena Cycling Club and Sam at
Brooklyn Brewery
we found the best place to do rollers since
the World Trade Center Bike Show. (Brooklyn Brewery was on tap there too!)
We had two nights of racing, and saw the sweet cadence of Gui Nelessen, a young rider with
World Cup track experience, going up with former roller heavyweight champs,
Jon Orcutt and Andrew LaCorte. The racing was fair, thanks to USCF officials
Alan Atwood and Don Winston. I only wish some of the women spectating came to race,
I know Taliah was ready to hop to it. --Dave Perry
